Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has been building classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since.
About the guitar
Back and sides of this model are made from select east Indian rosewood and a double-top soundboard made from finest cedar wood. The cedro neck has been reinforced at its core with hardwood / mahogany. The asymmetrically weighted domed soundboard that uses a sandwich design optimises efficiency. The Natural Doubletop delivers superior dynamics, a balanced range of tone colour, crispness and excellent responsiveness. All materials used for this classical guitar along with its workmanship and sound mean that it is able to meet elevated demands.The pierced rosewood-maple-Macassar head and noble designer tuning machines by Nicoló Alessi underline the high demands that the Natural Doubletop makes on quality.
The volume of this guitar and the quick response are impressive. The player gets a very good feedback and it’s easy to play so that the player can play fast and virtuous. Depth of bass comes from an air resonance somewhat lower than F. The balance between the treble, middle and bass is very good. The tuning machines are made by Alessi. Comes with a Hanika Hiscox Pro II case.
